Software

As a public institution, the electronic studio feels particularly committed to the use and co-development of software in the "public property" (public domain, free software, open source). Audacity and Ardour are used as audio editors and sequencers, respectively; Csound, PureData and SuperCollider as audio programming languages; Spear and Praat for analysis purposes. In terms of commercial software, the main ones are Max, Ableton Live, Logic and Reaper.  The question of which software is used depends on the projects and needs of the students. Each and everyone should work with what suits him/her and the respective projects best. The studio lives, among other things, from the initiative of the students in this area and is happy about the introduction of new software through the commitment of the students.
